"RIHANNA was lucky to escape a mass serenade of her hit tune Umbrella when she ventured out in New York yesterday.

Onlookers must have been tempted to burst into song as the sexy singer passed by with an umbrella protecting her from the falling rain.

Wearing a stunning strapless denim dress and extravagant hat, it's little wonder Rihanna was hell bent on keeping herself dry"

Hahahahahahahaha.

I'm SOO glad a certain item was found and returned to me.

Thank you thank you.

Really, bless your soul you kind person! :)

Haha. Ok Vig has commented that my entries are short so FINE VIGNESH I'll blog longer entries.

Today I seemed to be in a daze at work. Probably because I laughed so hard in the morning. Gary told me this story from his school that was utterly hilarious. Apparently his teacher punished them by making them stare at a bucket of water an hour. She called it "water appreciation".

I was already laughing hard when he told me that.

Then he was like,

"Oh then she made them draw it out afterwards."

HAHAHAHA I just couldn't stop laughing for like 30 seconds. But after that I was exhausted. After lunch I just zoned out.

"Sam can you follow up on this?"

"Duuuuuhhhhhhh.... what?"

Ok so it's past mid week already. So fast! Haha. 2 more days to the weekend! 1 and a half years to ORD! Hahaha.

Gosh. I'm tired now after typing this LONG entry. Hahaha.

Ok bye ya'll

"Absolutely beautiful. Marvelous. I have no comments."

Thew new blogskin is really going to take some time.

I'm still fiddling around, brainstorming and throwing different ideas here and there.

So I'll continue blogging then!

Yea well the weekend was awesome. I went to Yus's house on Friday for a sleepover thingy along with Vig, Dinesh, Luo Er, Ah Pie, Jason and Cheryl. Jason and Cheryl didn't stay but we still had a great time catching up and all that.

Then we watched Marley & Me and Fight Club.

Marley & Me was... ok lar. I wouldn't say it's fantastic or 'kick you in the croth spit on your neck fantastic', but it's worth watching.

NOT for dog lovers though.

You'll probably sob at then end and annoy the less sentimental ones beside you. That means you, Janet Yu.

Oh I remember my old teacher from Cat High, Mrs Mel Neo, who told us that she cries at almost every sad movie. And her other teacher friends or non teacher friends would look at her and be like, "whaaaaaat??"

Ok maybe not in such a african american way, but they would be look at her in this incredulous manner and wonder why the heck she's sobbing at... er... Moulin Rouge or smth.

Anyway, Fight Club was.... exhausting. Hahaha.

Seeing people beat each other up until their noses bled and their faces became some sort of mush was really exhausting to watch. Cos everytime you're like "Ugh!" when the guy gets smashed up.

And at first I thought it was some psycho show with all the violence but at the end (or what was the end for me) I realised... 'Ooooh so it's like that lar'.We stayed up all night and I was so exhausted on Saturday morning that I cabbed home and slept till 4pm.

Then I woke up and rushed to meet SCC people for dinner. (Bryan, Ms Ai Yun, Gary, Dannie, Luqman, Burton, Pei Hao)

We went to some weird but nice place at Taka that named it's dishes after fairy tales.

So it's something like,

"Hey can I have a Thumbelina please?"

Mine was,

"Can I have The Last Viking?"

Haha yea but the food's not bad. Expensive but not bad.

So after that (stop narrating ugh) we went to Yello Jello, the retro bar at clark quay, and tried to talk to each other above the blaring music.

All in all, it was a really fun day.

I took the Sunday to rest, thank goodness.

The moon got lost again last night...

I guess I feel alright...

The fresh awakening of the day, the brand new revelation of things.

How the poets yawn and the grasshoppers sniff at the futility of these.

Maybe we should not be afraid to express, to put forth our most random thoughts.

Flip.

Flop.

Look down.

Look up.

Walk forward,

laugh.

Drop.

Haha the people here to deliver the mattresses are right behind me, telling each other to relax and take deep breaths so they can move the giant mattress up.

Ok I know I shouldn't laugh at this, but I really couldn't help it.

Beyonce did this tribute thing to Michael Jackson during her I Am... Tour.

She sang 'Halo'.

It was all right until she went,

"Michael I can feel your halo."

AAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I dunno why it's so funny but I just burst out laughing.

Omg.

"Michael I can feel your halo."

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Ok, i'm back to work tomorrow!

I honestly hope I don't fall sick and go on MC again because I really have work to clear.

Oh wells. This weekend has been fun, just hanging with friends and catching up. I must say I have not done that in some time.

Gotta wake up early again!

Why won't you release me..

Here I am, blogging at Colin's house.

I'm waiting for him to get done so we can head off to meet the rest for board games at mindcafe or whatever it's called.

I'm so into Lily Allen's The Fear. I just love the production on the song, the electronic pop feel of it. I think I'm just into electro pop.

Yeah we're onto a winner.

On another unrelated topic, I got the $100 GST rebate! Haha. I don't know whether the government actually tracks our blogs or not, but hats off to Singapore's government for giving us money during a recession! Haha.

I still remember Mr Glascow's

"Your garment wear nice"

thing. Aaah thinking about that just makes me trace back to my JC life all over again. And yes I can go on and on about how I miss the fun times I had in CJ. No matter, I'm meeting you guys on Sunday! :)

Oh wait that's tomorrow. Haha.

Let me speak metaphorically again.

The circular shapes of the changing room seem to be manifested from a myraid of tantrums and emotions. Perhaps art in itself is not something that can be created, but formed from a spectrum of different entities. A hybrid, perhaps?

We're Beautiful, and Dirty Rich.

It's really strange what a cold can do to you.

It makes your head feel really big and heavy, like it's just going to drop off if you don't use your neck muscles to hold it up.

This cold just makes me feel really weird. It's not really something I can explain. It just distorts your entire mood and state of mind in such a way that is totally different and you get a little freaked out by it.

That and the drowsiness of the medication put together... bam!

Anyway, I was thinking of the word 'hybrid' today.

How people can say, 'this thing is a hybrid of this and this'. Makes you kinda wonder, what exactly is originality anyway? I mean, how original does something have to be in order to be considered an original? Aren't almost all things a hybrid of something and something else?

Of course, we're not speaking literally here, like a child is a hybrid of his parents kind of thing.

But more in terms of the arts and stuff. I think that ultimately, unless you can create something that is TOTALLY new, you're considered a hybrid of all the things that inspire you. You are bound to contain certain elements of things in the past. New artists are always going to be compared to the old ones, existing art will be compared to the greats of the past.

It's so hard to come up with something totally original is it?

As long as I'm getting thinner...
