Had a busy day yesterday.

First, I had to go for camp com meeting at 3. I called a cab cos of my ankle and stuff. The taxi driver was very nice and polite, and he thought I was Sec 3! Lol. He told me how his son was planning to study something nautica-related in Poly AFTER JC AND army. Quite strange, but he said it's cos his friend in the army told him about the course and he was very interested. Driving those commercial ships I guess.

Camp Com meeting went well. Settled all my worship stuff. I'm sure it'll be a lot of fun even though I'm not sure if I'm going full time or not.

Instead of Cell, Jit wanted us to go for dinner instead. So we went to pepper lunch at Novena Square. I love the sauces! Although I hated the corn. I don't know why, I just can't eat too much corn at one go or I will feel very sick inside. Kinda like sweet stuff like chocolate. The salmon and rice were delicious though. Next time I'll tell them not to put any corn inside. While eating, Mark and Sam Chew were talking about Epic Movie and they said it was damn funny. The way they described some of the scenes really sounded hilarious.

I was suppose to meet Martin at 645 at Orchad to watch Dreamgirls at 725. However, both of us, mainly me, were late and we only left Orchad at 7. Matt was suppose to meet us straight at cineleisure cos he was going to be late. Orchad was SO CROWDED due to Ching Gay! We had to walk one big round around Taka cos of the parade. We ended up reaching the cinema at 720. We were like, should we watch dreamgirls? Or watch Epic Movie at 805? Matt arrived at 735, so we decided to watch Epic Movie.

The movie was kinda crappy. The only REALLY funny parts were the hilarious looking foxes on the "white bitch"'s neck which I continued laughing at for about 30 seconds, the bullet in Superman's Eye, the branch-in-the-face, and a few others. It was quite bad on the whole, very slapstick, although slapstick can be very funny if done properly. I was surprised that it was rated PG, with one bad word and the butt part at the end. Movie Rating : 1 and a half stars

The movie lasted about an hour and ten minutes. By that time, we had a crazy idea to watch Dreamgirls. So we did! Haha...

Dreamgirls rocks! Lol. Yeah the music was really great. Plot was ok, but the music was the best. I have to say Jennifer Hudson did a good job. She deserves her golden globe win and her oscar nomination. Somehow I thought that Jamie Foxx seemed to be the lead character. The plot sort of revolved around him. Oh and there was this lady behind us who kept saying "tsk tsk" but in a "wow" kind of way everytime the power parts came, such as the famous "And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going", and "Listen". I thought the best parts of the movie were "And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going", "One Night Only"(Effie's), and the last song which I'm not sure what it is. I'm sure a lot of adults would like watching this show, and buy the soundtrack later. Haha... Movie Rating: 4 stars

By the time the movie ended, it was about 11 plus. Matt agreed that the movie rocked, Martin didn't say much. As we were walking out. This scary looking girl in front of us with eyeliner that was SO thick kept turning around and staring at Martin in a "What are you looking at, punk?" way. She looked damn scary, like some pontianak. She was with some other guys, who seemed to be laughing. Matt guessed that it was a dare.

We walked all the way to the main road near wheelock place cos of the road block and took cabs home. Martin and I shared a cab due to the midnight charge. I enjoyed myself thoroughly, mostly due to dreamgirls. Wouldn't have felt the same way if I had gone home after Epic Movie. I spent a lot though. $18 on movie tickets, $8 on dinner, $5 on snacks. Oh well.

Let's see how tomorrow will go.

I realised that I haven't really blogged much about my daily happenings.

Starting from CNY:
CNY was good, fun as usual. I only gambled during mahjong, and lost about 2 dollars. Haha... One of the funniest moments when we were playing the card game "heart attack", and Megan yelled "Ban luck!" instead of "heart attack!". It was damn funny. My dad's side came on the eve. As usual, they come quite late, and leave quite early. Haha... In contrast, my mom's side comes very early, and leaves very late. Cos of the gambling. Lol.

I ate quite a lot. Yeah, was a total pig.

On a whole, I enjoyed CNY. I always do. It's a time when my whole extended family gets together and have fun. My mom told me that for the westerns, family gatherings are a time where the most conflict happens. Guess they're on the other side of the spectrum. Woohoo for Asian culture! Haha...

School was kinda sad, cos it was Gab's last week. Yah. Oh well, hopefully AC will be a comfortable place for him. All the best Gab!

Stupid ankle, just HAD to sprain on thursday.

Oh well.

It's getting better now, so I hope I will walk normally in a few days. Going for the camp com meeting today will be quite tough though. Hmm..

Seeya! :)

This post is dedicated to my dearest T3.

Today, while playing captain's/net ball, I got too excited and sprained my ankle. Hurt like hell of course. I couldn't even walk. Melissa helped me buy drinks, Anne got me some food, and Jason did his indonesian-foot-massage thing. Then, Dinesh and Gerald firemen-lifted me to the stairs and Dinesh carried me up the stairs(5 stories) by slinging my on his shoulder. After school ended, Dinesh carried me down the stairs while Shermaine, Anne, Gerald, and Ah pie helped carry my stuff. Then, they all helped me to the porch and Gerald and Dinesh went to get a cab for me and told me to message them when I reached home.

Isn't T3 awesome?

I just want to say a big THANK YOU to EVERYONE in T3 for being so caring and helping me SO MUCH. Thanks for all the encouraging words and all your concern. I really appreciate it. I must say I'm really touched by my class, esp those who helped me after school. You are all truly blessings in my life and I couldn't ask for a better class than this.

I have been taught to be thankful for everything that I have, even the small things. Thank you Lord for blessing me with such wonderful people.

I really really hope that our petition to remain as a class gets through. I don't think CJ life would be even bearable without my T3 mates, even though some are leaving :(

T3, you guys are really a great bunch of people. You all totally rock!!

Thanks again.

Wow, CNY's just around the corner.

Well things have been pretty hectic lately. Didn't really feel like blogging. Will just blog about the highlights of the week.

PE! Haha... PE was super fun yesterday. Isaac Lim brought us to this fitness corner like place which I never knew existed in the school and made us do like this obstacle course thing. It was really fun. The scary parts were standing on the wall and walking on the parallel bars. Other than that, it was really enjoyable. Poor Corinne injured her ankle sliding down the slope though.

Clarence approached me on Sunday and asked me to head the worship for the 5612 camp. Yup, so if you're interested in being part of the worship for the camp, come look for me!

Valentine's day in school came as a surprise to me. Back in Cat High, we never "celebrated" V-day. It was just like, ok it's valentines day. Whatever. However, it's totally different in non all-boy schools. People actually bring stuff and give to one another. Kinda like Christmas. I had no idea, so I didn't bring anything. I thought it was just like, whatever. Haha...
Anyway, I got a lot of stuff from the people in class so thanks so much! Hope I won't suffer from a sugar overdose. Lol.

Now, today.

Today's lessons were kinda slack. The CNY celebration was enjoyable even though it was only about an hour long. The guitar ensemble was ok I guess. Ok, to be frank, sorry for those who worked hard on the script, but the plot wasn't very good. I thought most of the actors and actresses were very good, especially Gabriel, who was so daring to play that fabulous role. Cheers! Anyway, the plot wasn't that good, quite slapstick at some parts, but overall it was quite funny. The stage direction was good though. (haha)

The dance item used "Say It Right" (my 2nd fav song from the Loose album) as one of the dance songs! Woohoo. I love that song. Here's a fantastic performance by Nelly Furtado. The guy talking in the vid is kinda annoying though, cos he talked waay to much and repeated the same thing too many times.

Go watch it. It's good.

Anyway, I thought the ODAC performance was the best. They totally rock. (Sorry Gab. Haha) Isaac Lim is so hilarious. I wasn't so surprised that they were performing, knowing how outgoing Isaac Lim is.

tantrum, After that, I went with Matt to Cat High. Didn't really talk much with the teachers. Just said hi to Mr Fernandez and Mrs Chew and chatted with Mr F.dez a little. Went to Cafe Cartell with Matt and Yao Khuan. We were joined by Matheus soon after. We had such a fun time reminiscing about sec school. It was mainly the 3 of them recounting their experiences cos they were all in the same class for all 4 years. We recounted funny moments such as Genette's, ZA's car scratching, Matheus losing control of his voice, etc. Damn funny. I laughed till my stomach hurt. Very badly.

Anyway, we are suppose to go out tomorrow to buy CNY clothing but I don't really intend to buy anything. Don't really feel like doing CNY shopping this year. Dunno why.

Oh and Fergie's new single, Glamorous, is very good. Check it out.

Have a nice day! :)

Oh you don't mean nothing at all to me
No you don't mean nothing at all to me
Do you got what it takes to set me free
Oh you could mean everything to me

I have chosen, submitted my form already.

For those of you who care, I chose....

I chose.....

I chose....

CJ.

This song pretty much sums up my mood right now. Kinda lazy to type it all out. Not every part of the song though. Lol.

It's 'bout as bad as it could be
Seems everybody's buggin' me
Like nothing wants to go my way--
yeah, it just ain't been my day
Nothin's comin' easily

Even my skin is acting weird
I wish that I could grow a beard
Then I could cover up my spots
not play connect the dots
I just wanna disappear

[Chorus:]
Up--up--up--
Can only go up from here
Up--up--up--Up
where the clouds gonna clear
Up--up--up--
There's no way but up from here

Even something as simple as
Forgettin' to fill up on gas
There ain't no explanation why--
things like that can make you cry
Just gotta learn to have a laugh

Oh yeah, yeah, yeah...

When everything is goin' wrong
Don't worry, it won't last for long
Yeah, it's all gonna come around
Don't go let it get you down
You gotta keep on holding on

It's 'bout as bad as it could be
Seems everybody's buggin' me
Like nothing want to go my way--
yeah, it just ain't been my day
Nothin's comin' easily

Oh-- I'm going up [4x]
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah...

NY or CJ?

NY or CJ?

I need guidance.

That's why I'm going to check NY out tomorrow.

I have to make a choice tomorrow.

NY or CJ?

Jesus, take the wheel.

She was drivin' last friday on her way to cincinnati
On a snow white Christmas Eve
Goin' home to see her Momma and her Daddy
With her baby in a back seat
Fifty miles to go and she was runnin' low
On faith and gasoline
It'd been a long hard year

She had a lot on her mind and she didn't pay attention
She was goin' way too fast
Before she knew it she was spinnin on thin black sheet of glass
She saw both their lives flash before her eyes
She didn't even have time to cry
She was so scared, she threw her hands up in the air

(Chorus)
Jesus take the wheel
Take it from my hands
'Cause I can't do this on my own
I'm letting go
Give me one more chance
Save me from this road I'm on
Jesus take the wheel

It was still getting colder when she made it to the shoulder and that car came to a stop
She cried when she saw that baby in the back seat sleepin' like a rock
For the first time in a long time she bowed her head to pray
She said I'm sorry for the way
I've been livin' my life
I know I've got to change
So from now on tonight
(Repeat chorus)

What a day it has been. First, my all important results.

English - A1
Lit - B4
Combined Humanities - A2
Biology - A2
Chemistry - B3
Maths - A2
A Maths - A2
Chinese - C5

L1R5 - 12
L1R4 - 9

Yup. Overall I'm quite ok with my results. It's not fantastic, but it's ok. I'm very happy and thankful for my English and Bio results. Kinda surprised at my chem results. I actually didni't expect to do well, haha. The subjects that I'm disappointed in are both the maths and lit. Was kinda working towards double A1s for maths and at least A2 for lit, but it's ok. I'll just work harder for lit in JC. I kinda expected my lit results to be crappy actually. I crapped through the English Teacher paper. Lol. Oh well...

Today was so much fun. We did so many crazy things during class and totally didn't pay attention. We took so many pictures and had full attendance on the day which everyone usually doesn't go for! Haha...

I actually recieved a message from Jit during the 2nd period, telling me that the results are good. He didn't elaborate, but said it was excellent compared to last year. Then, Gerald told me that the average score for Cat High was 9.6. Then, Martin messaged me the distinction rates for all the subjects.

After all the insanity, I headed to Yixin's house and we went to school later. I met Matthew and Matheus at the canteen and they told me that the highest point in the school was 15. I was extremely relieved as the paranoia of getting over 20 points was killing me.

LHB seemed very happy with the results, and congratulated us. Then, Matheus came up to me and told me that I got the lowest in my class for Lit. Now, that totally sucked. I suddenly became very paranoid and anxious. Felt horrible, but I got over it.

After all the emotions, results, etc, we went to Matthew's house to chill. Before that, we found out that the 15 thing was a total lie. The highest was actually 18. Oh well.

Well I think all my friends did well. So far, all the people whom I know are able to get into JC.

What a relief.

Anyway, as I was on my way back home from Matt's house, I recieved a message from Mrs.Neo, giving an inspirational message to us and encouraged us. Felt really touched. As I was walking back home from the bus stop, I was listening to my favourite song, "My Immortal", which is the song playing now. Suddenly, the events from last year came flashing back to me. The studying for the O levels, the fun times, the incredibly bad memories, CHMA, everything. It felt very strange. I thought I was already way past that stage.

However, I told myself that I have to move on from there. I have to stop clinging on the the past and face the future, despite how scary it might be.

I mean, this year has been great so far. I have a wonderful class, and have made many wonderful friends whom I will definitely remember. I know that I have moved on from Catholic High already.

That's why my blog's title is "A Fresh Start". I wanted this year to be a fresh new beginning, ridding myself from anything that might hinder me from moving on. Of course, that does not include the friends, them I will remember.

Listening to My Immortal certainly brings back memories from last year....

How could I forget CHMA... One of the major highlights of my life.

Oh well... I don't want to be all emotional and all about the past. I have to move on from there.

;)

AAAH!!!!

The dreaded results are here... It's tomorrow. I really don't know what will happen if I get above 20 points. Aurgh... I really want my class to be the same after 2nd intake but it's very difficult. Sigh...

I really don't know what to do now. It's a horrible dilemma (Nelly feat. Kelly Rowland) that only the results will resolve. Must keep listening to "Through The Rain" now...

On a more positive note, I had an amazingly fun 2 days. Yesterday was cross country. The lessons were ok, but Lit lecture was the funniest.

We had this young female teacher for lecture. Gabriel and I spent the whole lecture laughing. At her. Cos she was so hilarious.... She kept zhao xia-ing at the start of every sentence and had this incredible singaporean accent that was so funny. The whole lecture was just absolutely hilarious...

We all went for X-Country together and sat down at the road and slacked till it was time to go. Lol. And...

BIRD SHIT FELL ON MY PANTS!!!! AHHH!!!!

Haha... It wasn't so bad. It fell on my pants, so I could easily wash it off. I'm SO THANKFUL that it didn't fall on my head or shirt. It would have been really disgusting if it did. So the shit came off easily. Not much trouble.

X-country was ok. I ran with Gabriel and we slacked for most of the run cos he was still recovering from his cold.

1T03 rocks!!! We got fourth in everything. Anne and Gerald ("siblings" lol) both got 4th and our class got overall 4th as well. Really proud of you guys! Lol and when they went to recieve their trophies, we all stood up and cheered for them, and we shouted "Wan Rong Loves You!!" when it was Gerald's turn. Hahahahaha....

After that, we went to eat dinner at the Adam Road Centre. On the way there, Gabriel was making the "maid" accent and was conversing with Vanessa. Damn funny. Haha Gabriel cam-whored a lot during dinner, which is a good thing! We now have lots of photos. Send it to me!!!

They actually went to eat ice cream after dinner, but I was so dead tired, I had to go home. Took 74 all the way. I wanted to join them!!

Well Na's flight is in an hour and fifteen minutes. The flight was delayed from 8 to 12 so we said our goodbyes already. I'm kinda used to not seeing my siblings but I'll definitely miss her presence. All the best, sis!

1T03's having a potluck tomorrow! Haha i'm going to bring Ba Kua. It's going to be damn fun. I hope.

I will SO miss 1T03!!!!!! You guys ROCK!!! Sigh, why couldn't we have been the class for the 2nd intake. Totally sucks....

Oh well. Tomorrow's the judgement day. Have to also meet people whom I don't want to.

Just hope that Mrs Chew(former Ms Tan)'s face will be happy when she gives me my results...

Wow, haven't blogged for quite long.

Things in school are getting so exciting!

Haha...

Gabriel and I were having fun talking about all the scandals in our class, damn fun. Very hilarious indeed. Ok let me do a day by day thing.

Wed, 31/1

This day was rather slack. We had 2 tests though. Lit and GP. For lit we had to do a critical commentary on this story called Metamorphosis. We actually did a part of that story during Sec 4. It was in our Unseen textbook. It's about this guy who woke up one day and realised he was a cockroach, etc etc etc. Nothing much really happened.

Thurs 1/2

A teacher (whom I shall not name) went mad on this day. He spent the entire ethics lesson praising himself and calling other people stupid in an indirect but obvious manner. He asked us to list the traits of the "Higher" type of people in society. The people whom he claims, are above the rest. He was just plain obnoxious. He started out by listing the traits that, he thinks, belong to the "higher" type of people. Obviously, he listed the traits that he THOUGHT he had, and praised himself, boosting his own ego like mad. The whole lesson was so unbearable.

Econs was fine, as usual, just that Ms Fan got hit in the head by the bottom of the screen when the strong gust of wind blew into the class.

PE was fun. All we did was treck through the so called "forest" near the school. It was enjoyable.

Lit lecture was good as usual. Jasmine Tan's a good teacher.

Friday, 2/2

Nothing much happened, all I could think of was TGIF. Haha... However, choir was actually fun. Being in bass isn't as bad as I thought it would be. The people are as friendly and nice as the tenors, so I enjoyed myself. I really like hearing the entire choir singing as one. The harmony and everything. Very nice. Finished at seven thirty though.

Saturday, 3/2

I went out with Martin, Colin, and Yixin. Matthew was suppose to go but his mom was sick, so he had to bring her to the poly clinic. We went to bowl and play pool (for the first time) and then went to play L.A.N. After that, I went for worship prac which ended at 11. Reached home bushed.

Sunday, 4/2

Service as usual. Sang for service. After that came back and slept till five thirty. We then went for Na's "farewell" dinner. Yah, my dear sister, Diana is leaving on thursday for Australia to study. We fetched Denny at Seletar and went to the resturant at Thompson Plaza to eat. It was very enjoyable, eating with my cousins and my family. We all had a good time. We tried to harmonise on the way home. Lol.

Today was quite fun. Had a great time with my class. Lessons were kinda slack as well. It's kinda expected, first 3 months and all.

Of course, the dreaded results are coming out on Friday. As confirmed by Jit.

I really really don't know whether to stay in CJ or not. If somehow I knew I would get the same class, with the exact same people, I would definitely stay if I could. However, that may not be the case, so I really don't know. I'm still incredibly indecisive. I will just pray that God will lead me to the right choice.

Cross country is on Wed!! Aurgh.... My extremely enthusiastic class signed us all up for competitive. I'll definitely be one of the last running, trying to catch up with the rest. Tomorrow's PE will definitely be a preparation for it. I just want to enjoy the limited time that I have left with my wonderful class. Don't want to worry about the results. Sigh.

I'm also not looking forward to Friday cos I have to meet some people whom I don't want to meet. Aurgh... what a horrible day it's going to be.

Anyway, to Gabriel: Get well soon. The class misses you. Lol, especially Corinne.

Anyway, I just want to put this song on my blog cos I think it'll appeal to all those collecting their results.

Mariah Carey - Through The Rain

When you get caught in the rain
With nowhere to run
When you’re distraught
And in pain without anyone

When you keep crying out to be saved
But nobody comes
And you feel so far away
And you just can't find you way home
you can get there alone
it's okay
once you say

I can make it through the rain
I can stand up once again
On my own and I know
That I’m strong enough to mend
And every time I feel afraid
I hold tighter to my faith
And I live one more day
And I make it through the rain

And if you keep falling down
Don’t you dare give in
You will arise safe and sound
So keep pressing on steadfastly
And you’ll find what you need to prevail
Once you say

I can make it through the rain
I can stand up once again
On my own and I know
That I’m strong enough to mend
And every time I feel afraid
I hold tighter to my faith
And I live one more day
And I make it through the rain

And when the wind blows
And shadows grow close
Don’t be afraid
There’s nothing you can’t face
And should they tell you
You’ll never pull through
Don’t hesitate
Stand tall and say
Yeah yeah yeahhhh

I can make it through the rain
I can stand up once again
On my own and I know
That I’m strong enough to mend
And every time I feel afraid
I hold tighter to my faith
And I live one more day
And I make it through the rain

I can make it through the rain
Can stand up once again
And I'll live one more day, and I
I can make it through the rain
Oh yes you can
You’re gonna make it through the rain.
