I've got a friend, he's a pure-bred killing machine,
He said he's waited his whole damn life for this,
I knew him well when he was seventeen,
Now he's a man who'll be dead by Christmas.

And, so...
Everybody's going to war,
But we don't know what we're fighting for,
Don't tell me it's a worthy cause,
No cause could be so worthy.

If love is a drug, I guess we're all sober,
If hope is a song I guess it's all over,
How to have faith, when faith is a crime?
I don't want to die...
Running out through the door and straight to the sky,
I don't want to die...

For every man who wants to rule the world,
There'll be a man who just wants to be free,
What do we learn but what should not be learnt?
Too late to find a cure for this disease.

So...
Everybody's going to war,
But we don't know what we're fighting for,
Don't tell me it's a worthy cause,
No cause could be so worthy.

If love is a drug, I guess we're all sober,
If hope is a song, I guess it's all over,
How to have faith, when faith is a crime?
I don't want to die...
Running out through the door, and straight to the sky,
I don't want to die...
I-I-I-I
I-I-I-I
don't want to die,
I-I don't want to die...

Running out through the door, and straight to the sky,
I don't want to die...
don't want to die,
I-I don't want to die...

I've got a friend, he's a pure-bred killing machine,
I think he might be dead by Christmas...

I realised that I have a flaw that really needs to be worked out.

It's this tendency for me to cancel on stuff at the last minute even though I've already said I would do it or that I would go to a certain place.

I've pissed people off and all with this so to all those whom I've pissed off whether be it in the past or the near present, I'm sorry.

And I'm trying to change.

Anyway, tmr's the day!

I'm still feeling kinda strange but I'm just glad my cough has subsided. Hope it doesn't come back again.

Well I'm finally updating after such a long time.

I have this terrible cough at this moment and I still have barely some voice. It's like all of a sudden I lost my voice. It's very strange. Very strange indeed. Anyhow, all the relatives are downstairs gambling their lives away. Hahaha.

Oh yea Happy Chinese New Year to everyone! :)

Well well well it's only 2 more days to D-Day. The first D-Day. Second one's probably sometime in February. I guess I'm a nervous BUT yes.. I am excited as well. I'm entering another phase of my life. A 2 year one. According to Weilie the first 2 weeks will seem like the longest 2 weeks of your life. Hahaha. Unfortunately for me, I think it'll be more than 2 weeks. It will probably be like 2 weeks and 2 days, because I enlist on a Wednesday.

I would blog about China but it just seems like a distant memory. Hahaha.

It was an ok trip. Would have enjoyed it more if I had more warm clothing with me and without any food poisoning.

Oh the food poisoning. Yea that was like really really bad.

And NO I did not drink milk, like a whole glass of milk or something. The amount of milk I drank would probably add up to like 1/24 of a glass or something because it was all from the chocolate that I ate there. Dove chocolate.

I'm going to cut my hair on tuesday, probably at some Malay barber (Hope they're open), cos I don't want to make a bad first impression with my crazy hair hahaha. I'm more worried about meeting people more than anything. I just hope that the people there would be easy to click with and I would have a pleasant 7 weeks in BMT.

Well life's been good so far, I can't really complain.

We'll just see how the rest of the year goes I guess.

Massive cleanup

Ok I finally decided to clean up my room after goodness knows how many years.

Before cleanup:

Photobucket

Ok it doesn't look very messy but it IS. Trust me. It's this gigantic mess that has accumulated after a VERY long time.

During the clean up of my room, I came across many items that I've really forgotten about.

Made me reminisce a little...

Photobucket

Class photo from 2007. We all really looked WEIRD back then.

Photobucket

Haha these are some more memories from J1. The chinese textbook and chinese class! I remember falling asleep during chinese class while Lau Shi would rant away and keep calling "Mei Yi", "Yi ling"

Photobucket

Books from secondary school. Goodness. I can't believe I haven't trashed these yet. Hahaha. Maybe I'll pass it to whosoever is teaching SS now.

Photobucket

More relics from sec sch. I recall all the lit lessons that I went through before Os. Now even As are done and over with.

Photobucket

Gift vouchers for Popular! Hahaha our class won this for dunno what thing and I still have them. Hope they haven't expired yet.

Photobucket

Luo Er's free hugs thing. I remember her giving this out last year. Haha.

Photobucket

Cheryl's passion fruit body spray thingy. "Now we can all smell the same!"

Photobucket

Michele's card from last year!

Photobucket

More relics from sec sch.

Photobucket

HAHAHAHAHA I remember this! This was my birthday gift. Colin just grabbed random pics from the past and made it into a tabloid style magazine cover with notes inside.

Photobucket

This is the big stack of 8 Days and Newsweek that I've accumulated from over the years. It's gone now, thankfully.

Photobucket

I'm sure many people will remember this. Hahahahaha

Photobucket

This is a bag of medicine from one of my polyclinic visits this year. I shan't elaborate further. Heh.

Photobucket

First 3 months! This ugly thing was used to borrow books. Hahaha.

Photobucket

This... is the result of an hour of cleaning. I trashed most of my stuff, well obviously not the important ones.

Photobucket

After. PHEW!

It didn't take very long to clean up the mess that was my room. But it was definitely worth it. It was something that I've been procrastinating for very long that I FINALLY decided to do it.

Dinner at Matt's house

Had an impromptu dinner at Matt's house yesterday. We each prepared a dish and completely wrecked the kitchen. We were quite clueless as to what to make but in the end Matt made pumpkin soup, Colin made cake, Yixin made salad, and I made burgers (cos it's the only thing I know how to cook).

Patties being shaped before dumping into the Wok. They kinda look like intestines

Patties being cooked. They smelled really good.

Yixin the maid chopping onions. Hahahaha.

Group shot - Colin

All in all, I really had a good time. It has been quite awhile since I've been to Matt's house. We played his Wii, which had Wii Sports. According to Stephanie, his mom played that game till about 2am. Hahaha.

News of the day:

http://travel.asiaone.com/Travel/News/Story/A1Story20090103-112091.html

Shuttle service begins on Monday

JOHOR BARU: The Johor Bahru-Singapore shuttle train service will start operations on Monday and provide travellers with an alternative way of transportation.

Mentri Besar Datuk Abdul G hani Othman said the service would ease congestion at the new Sultan Iskandar Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) complex.

Introductory tickets are priced at RM3 each from the mall to Tanjung Pagar station in Singapore and S$3 return. There will be five trips daily between 5.30am and 8.08pm from Johor Baru and 5.35am and 10pm from Singapore.

Although I don't go to Johor very often, people going there would definitely reap the benefits from this rail. No more congestions!

Ok just thought I would type a short post before I head off to Matt's house to prepare for dinner.

Gosh it's been so long since the 4 of us actually sat down and had dinner. Hahaha. Most of the time it's just alcohol alcohol. Hahaha.

Anyway, to those who have school today, I DON'T.

HAHAHAHAHA.

I know my sis would just kill me for rubbing it into her face again.

Oh well!

Ok mainly I just wanted to comment on this:

News Of The Day:

Facebook's War on Nipples

"Facebook has drawn a line in the sand by removing any photos it deems obscene, including those containing a fully exposed breast, which the site defines as "showing the nipple or areola." In other words, plunging necklines or string bikinis are fine — just no nips. The purging of bare-boob pics began last summer and has swept up, alongside any girls gone wild, a growing number of proud — and very ticked-off — breast feeders."

"On Dec. 27, some 11,000 protesters held a virtual nurse-in by uploading breast-feeding photos onto their Facebook profiles, and 20 or so women showed up at the company's headquarters in Palo Alto, Calif., to breast-feed there. By Dec. 30, more than 85,000 members had joined a Facebook group called "Hey, Facebook, breastfeeding is not obscene!""

Hahaha well I guess it would be kinda obscene to put up breastfeeding pictures online. Although there really is nothing wrong with breastfeeding, maybe just restrict the pictures to the pregnancy books eh?

I was looking through Msn Today's news thingy and I came across this section on stars who have had plastic surgery.

This one on Mariah Carey is so funny.

This talented songbird has always been a stunner. But the moment she hit 30, Diva Carey started tweaking to better her countenance. It's very hard to say what Mariah has had done, although there are two prominent features we're sure she's had the builders in for. We've noticed her songs have gotten a lot breathier and it has gotten harder for the diva to hold a note. We hope her new assets aren't the cause.

Hahahahahahahahaha

5:22 PM

Aaaaah. Happy 2009 :)

2008 is so O-V-E-R!!!

So many crazy things happened and I'm just glad I'm out alive.

It was quite hilarious cos one of the last few things that I saw in 2008 is this:

It was scrawled all over the seat at the bus stop opposite Bowen sec where I change buses to go to church.

What a political NYE!

I couldn't resist taking a picture.

Anyway, 2008 was REALLY an eventful year in so many more ways than one. Some truly life changing.

Losses and gains.

Probably more losses than gains actually.

But THIS was definitely one of the hilarious moments of this year. HAHAHA. Sorry Yixin, but I have to advertise your hair. Hahahaha.

Anyhow, I think I can just breathe a huge sigh of relief that it's over. Onward to 2009!

2009 will be a fantastic year. It better be.

And I'm just glad I didn't end the year doing something I would regret doing.

News of the day:

New Year Delayed by Extra Second

"Revellers ushering in 2009 will have to literally wait a second this New Year's Eve. The world's official timekeepers are adding a "leap second" to the final day of the year to help match clocks to the Earth's spin."

"The International Earth Rotation and Reference Systems Service (IERS) has to occasionally add an extra second to keep our clocks in sync with solar time used by astronomers. That's because, sometimes, the Earth's rotation on its axis can take longer or shorter than 24 hours, depending on factors such as the breaking action of tides, snow or the lack of it at the polar ice caps, solar wind, space dust and magnetic storms."

"The U.S. Naval Observatory, keeper of the Pentagon's master clock, said it would add the extra second on Wednesday in coordination with the world's atomic clocks at 23 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds Coordinated Universal Time, or UTC."

Cool huh!
