The alarm went off TWICE last night.

Once at 1230 and again at 230.

Woke me up from my peaceful slumber. Aurgh.

However, the second time the alarm rang, I woke Willy up and we both turned on the lights.

To our horror, there was this gigantic cockroach near Willy's pillow! (@*@&^*(@#&

It was damn disgusting. He freaked out and just when I was going to whack it, it crawled underneath my bed. @#&*(@&#(*@

So I took some bug spray and sprayed the area underneath my bed, thinking that it would kill it.

Not really.

So I pushed my bed out, pushed away this carpet thingy, and there it was. I quickly sprayed it and it died a horrific, slow death.

I used a piece of paper and scooped it into my toilet bowl and flushed the putrid thing down.

Damn disgusting. I had to turn off the air con cos of the insecticide smell, and air the room before I could sleep again.

Before which I ventured downstairs with Willy and checked. It was probably just something that tipped off the motion sensor or something.

But I didn't want to keep waking up so I called my dad to ask if I should turn on the alarm or not and he said no need just lock your room doors.

I probably wouldn't have been so paranoid if I didn't read in the papers a few months ago that a house near us got burglarized. In the afternoon.

It's like, the world isn't safe anymore. Can't even sleep soundly without crazy insects or broke people.

Oh and my house is prone to bats flying in. A friendly visitor greets us with his shadowy presence almost every week.

AND, a hornet flew in 2 days ago and buzzed around at the lights for a full day, after which resting in Jan's room and she had to go sleep in my parents room.

This are the chronicles of my life.

I am going to study for a full day today at the library.

Hooray.
