Had a busy day yesterday.
First, I had to go for camp com meeting at 3. I called a cab cos of my ankle and stuff. The taxi driver was very nice and polite, and he thought I was Sec 3! Lol. He told me how his son was planning to study something nautica-related in Poly AFTER JC AND army. Quite strange, but he said it's cos his friend in the army told him about the course and he was very interested. Driving those commercial ships I guess.
Camp Com meeting went well. Settled all my worship stuff. I'm sure it'll be a lot of fun even though I'm not sure if I'm going full time or not.
Instead of Cell, Jit wanted us to go for dinner instead. So we went to pepper lunch at Novena Square. I love the sauces! Although I hated the corn. I don't know why, I just can't eat too much corn at one go or I will feel very sick inside. Kinda like sweet stuff like chocolate. The salmon and rice were delicious though. Next time I'll tell them not to put any corn inside. While eating, Mark and Sam Chew were talking about Epic Movie and they said it was damn funny. The way they described some of the scenes really sounded hilarious.
I was suppose to meet Martin at 645 at Orchad to watch Dreamgirls at 725. However, both of us, mainly me, were late and we only left Orchad at 7. Matt was suppose to meet us straight at cineleisure cos he was going to be late. Orchad was SO CROWDED due to Ching Gay! We had to walk one big round around Taka cos of the parade. We ended up reaching the cinema at 720. We were like, should we watch dreamgirls? Or watch Epic Movie at 805? Matt arrived at 735, so we decided to watch Epic Movie.

The movie was kinda crappy. The only REALLY funny parts were the hilarious looking foxes on the "white bitch"'s neck which I continued laughing at for about 30 seconds, the bullet in Superman's Eye, the branch-in-the-face, and a few others. It was quite bad on the whole, very slapstick, although slapstick can be very funny if done properly. I was surprised that it was rated PG, with one bad word and the butt part at the end. Movie Rating : 1 and a half stars
The movie lasted about an hour and ten minutes. By that time, we had a crazy idea to watch Dreamgirls. So we did! Haha...

Dreamgirls rocks! Lol. Yeah the music was really great. Plot was ok, but the music was the best. I have to say Jennifer Hudson did a good job. She deserves her golden globe win and her oscar nomination. Somehow I thought that Jamie Foxx seemed to be the lead character. The plot sort of revolved around him. Oh and there was this lady behind us who kept saying "tsk tsk" but in a "wow" kind of way everytime the power parts came, such as the famous "And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going", and "Listen". I thought the best parts of the movie were "And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going", "One Night Only"(Effie's), and the last song which I'm not sure what it is. I'm sure a lot of adults would like watching this show, and buy the soundtrack later. Haha... Movie Rating: 4 stars
By the time the movie ended, it was about 11 plus. Matt agreed that the movie rocked, Martin didn't say much. As we were walking out. This scary looking girl in front of us with eyeliner that was SO thick kept turning around and staring at Martin in a "What are you looking at, punk?" way. She looked damn scary, like some pontianak. She was with some other guys, who seemed to be laughing. Matt guessed that it was a dare.
We walked all the way to the main road near wheelock place cos of the road block and took cabs home. Martin and I shared a cab due to the midnight charge. I enjoyed myself thoroughly, mostly due to dreamgirls. Wouldn't have felt the same way if I had gone home after Epic Movie. I spent a lot though. $18 on movie tickets, $8 on dinner, $5 on snacks. Oh well.
Let's see how tomorrow will go.
